The vanished cake

A fun story

Have you ever experienced a normal thing turning into a vanished mode?

Today I am going to share with you a short funny story about my childhood. It is not that much to state, but too funny to share.

The year was 2008 and I was a little one then back. My elder sister ordered a cake for me due to my birthday get-to-gather. We celebrated the day amusingly with some of our nearer people.

The next day, some pieces of the cake were still not taken and I was very intent to eat the rest of the cake. In the afternoon, I came back from school, I asked my mom to serve me one piece of the cake.

My mom told me, “There is a large lid on the dine-in table. You will find the cake under that. Take your own.”

I went to the dining room straight and uncovered the food. But I found no cake there.

Here I need to mention that, the lid was large and square in size with a 5 inch in height.

Then I said, “Mom, you haven’t kept it there.”

My mom got astonished solemnly as she was sure about where she kept the cake.

She removed the lid again and saw there was no cake there. My elder sister came and she checked it again.

We thought, ‘Is the cake gone with its’ own feet (absurdly)?’

That was the funny moment we thought the cat has taken the rest of the cake as a stray cat was coming frequently in front of our home in search of food that year.

Then we thought, how a cat can eat almost 5–6 pieces of a cake as a whole alone removing a large lid?

Is it truly possible?

Would you believe we searched for the cake for 10–20 minutes?

Then my mom thought, are the cakes stuck to the lower side of the lid being upside down?

She turned the lid upside down, and all of us burst into laughter, as the cakes were there being stuck with its foggy (in the sense of poetry) cream.

I was little bit disappointed that I couldn’t take the cream of the cake. But the incident was too much fun to keep in memory.

That is how the birthday cake vanished.

That was one of my fun stories. Have you laughed at reading this?

I hope so!
